English

Four (4) Credits with major concentration and literature.

Mathematics

Four (4) Credits, one of which must be Algebra I or its equivalent (a minimum of three of the four mathematics credits required for high school graduation myst be earned on the high school campus.)

Science

Three (3) credits. Two (2) of the credits must include a laboratory component.

Social Studies

Three (3) credits, including the state requirements of one (1) credit in World History; one (1) credit in American History; one-half (1/2) credit in American Government; and one-half (1/2) credit in Economics.

Health/Physical Education

Students must take One (1) credit of HOPE Core course.

Practical Arts/Performing Fine Arts

One (1) Credit performing Fine Arts.

Electives

Eight (8) Credits.

Total

24 Credits

State Assensement Requirements

Earn passing scored on the Grade 10 FCAT

Grade Point Average

Earn a cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale

Students enrolled after June 11, 1999 who participate in two full inter-scholastic sports

seasons at junior varsity/varsity level and pass DOE content exam, may satisfy the full 1

credit and must substitute one elective credit.

An 18-credit graduation option will be available for the 2006 – 2007 school year, if students declare this option as a freshman. Please ask your counselor for requirements.

Students are required to pass all sections of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test. A student must earn a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, or its equivalent, for required courses for graduation.
