Important Reminder rising seniors: your first draft is due the week of August 23. Bring two copies, one goes to your mentor and the other is due to Mrs. Miller through ToK. If you do not submit this rough draft on time, it will be assumed you are exiting the program and a new schedule will be made for you.
IBO Mission Statement
The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
To this end the IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

IB Eligibility Criteria
(For Students with FCAT Scores)
Effective: 2009-10*
Rationale for New Policy: The FCAT NRT Test has been eliminated by the Florida Dept. of Education. Scores from the FCAT SSS Test will now be used for entrance purposes. FCAT SSS cut-offs were established based on equivalency with FCAT NRT required scores (Stanine 7 for Reading and Math).

*This policy would apply to students applying during the 2009-10 school year for admittance to the IB Program for 2010-11.
For students enrolled in 08-09 and applying for admittance in 2009-10 (based on 07-08 scores), minimum score requirements will be either the FCAT NRT minimums (Stanine = 7 for both Reading and Math) or the FCAT SSS minimums above.
